Frequently Asked Questions
What’s better: a company electric car or a salary sacrifice EV?
It’s hard to say – both have benefits. But most employees probably won’t qualify for a traditional company electric car. Company cars are often offered only to certain employees – in specific job roles or the most senior positions. Company car allowances – where an employer adds an additional sum to an employee’s salary for them to use to cover the monthly cost of a car – are the same.
In comparison, a salary sacrifice scheme is available for all employees to sign up and join, if a company offers one. It’s a more inclusive way for employees to be able to drive an electric car.
