The new Porsche Taycan

Whether you’re an electric fanatic or have never driven electric, you’ll encounter a dynamic driving experience like no other in the new Porsche Taycan. Behind the updated exterior design, uncover the enhanced control and display concept as well as the improved electric performance.

The new front wings and flatter headlights emphasise the unmistakable width, typical of the Taycan, whilst the now standard features such as the Drive Mode switch and Power Steering Plus allow you to tailor your Taycan to match the driving conditions ahead. With the unique push-to-pass function in the Sport Chrono Package¹, a boost of up to 70 kW depending on the model can be called upon for 10 seconds at the touch of a button.

Its 35% increase in electric range from its predecessor will allow you to travel up to 421 miles* on a single charge, making those longer commutes less challenging. Should you need to recharge at an 800-Volt Destination Charging station, the Taycan recharges at a faster rate using the expanded fast-charging window, allowing charges of more than 300 kW to be sustained for up to 5 minutes. It can now be charged at up to 320 kW, which is more than 50 kW more than the previous model.

At the heart of the new Porsche Taycan are improved battery and motor combinations with enhanced system outputs, including the Taycan Turbo S, which possesses an increased system output of 700 kW/952 PS. Not only is the improved driving performance at the forefront of this new-generation Taycan model, but also premium comfort.

With the improved power output comes improved acceleration. The new base model Taycan saloon can accelerate from 0 - 62 mph in 4.8 seconds (with Launch Control), which is 0.6 seconds faster than the first-generation Taycan saloon. The Taycan Turbo S, however, can travel from 0 - 62 mph in a blistering 2.4 seconds (with Launch Control) - a 0.4 second decrease from its predecessor.

Further to the improved performance is the premium driving comfort, thanks to adaptive air suspension now being a standard feature on the Taycan. This ensures maximum stability with the suspension keeping the body of the Taycan level at all times, even during dynamic braking, steering, and acceleration manoeuvres. Thanks to the elite Porsche engineering, the system absorbs bumps almost completely because of the balanced distribution of wheel loads.

Extensive efficiency measures

The maximum recuperation capacity has increased from 290 kW to 400 kW, during deceleration at high speeds - a 30% increase. All new Taycan models also come with aerodynamically-optimised wheels and reduced-rolling-resistance tyres as standard - new 21-inch wheels and tyres have been specially designed for this purpose.

Additionally, an advanced powertrain with a new rear-axle motor with up to 80 kW more power than the first-generation can be found on all models.

Updated driver and passenger displays

The instrument cluster, central display, and optional passenger display feature an optimised user interface with additional functions, providing a more intuitive cockpit.

Apple CarPlay has been more deeply integrated into the vehicle displays and functions, whilst the new In-Car Video function enables video streaming on the central display and the passenger display, enhancing both driving and passenger experience.
