Meet Jade Staines

Aftersales Apprentice of the Year

Dick Lovett BMW Swindon

Dick Lovett are thrilled to announce that Jade has been recognised as the BMW Academy UK’s Apprentice of the Year for Aftersales. Jade has shown an impressive commitment to her learning and has worked at both BMW and MINI over her time with Dick Lovett and is now working in Warranty to broaden her skillset.

Our talented Service Teams ensure that our customers continue to receive the very best customer service, long after they’ve purchased their vehicle from us. It is important for the group and our brands that we continue to grow our own talent so we can continue to deliver an exceptional service.

What does the award mean to you?

A big sense of achievement and I am really happy my hard work has paid off. I put a lot of time and effort into my end point assessment so I could achieve a distinction.

What are you looking forward to next in your career in Aftersales?

I am looking forward to expanding my brand knowledge and exploring different avenues within the Aftersales. I have used my knowledge from the Apprenticeship to extend my career into a Warranty role. I would also like to attend some Parts training courses, so I am able to have knowledge in all areas of Aftersales and how all teams work together to ensure we provide outstanding customer service and meet targets. Eventually I would like to progress to a managerial position or have a role that supports the Apprentices within the Aftersales department.

What was the best thing about an Apprenticeship with BMW?

The information that is provided ensures you are able to carry out your role at a high standard, so there is a massive sense of achievement. I also was grateful for the support I received while learning and settling into a new role.

What is the best thing about working at Dick Lovett?

The best thing about working for Dick Lovett is how they invest in their staff and their development. I also love seeing how everybody comes together within the group to support the Lovett Foundation.  Another reason why I enjoy working for Dick Lovett is the range of knowledge and experience within the group. Everyone is always happy to help and share their knowledge.

What would you say to someone thinking of applying for an Apprenticeship?

Have the confidence to take the first step and ask lots of questions.

A huge well done Jade from the whole team here at Dick Lovett Swindon."

Ashely Chapman was Jade's Manager for much of her Apprenticeship in MINI Swindon.

"Jade paved her own path from the very beginning! We were introduced to Jade buy our HOB at the time who said, “we NEED to find a position in our team for this young lady”. He was right, she very quickly found her place here at MINI Swindon and built lasting relationships with colleague’s and customers alike. Her smile brightened everyone’s day, her tenacious and inquisitive approach had her leading the way within her Apprentice cohort. Jade's biggest accolade is she works for herself, this means she brings her best every day and is always hungry to learn more and hone her skills. We are fortunate that Jade has chosen to grow her career here with us. Very well-done Jade we are all super proud! Here’s to the future being bright."
