The very first MINI Convertible went on sale in 1993, making it (as of 2025), 32 years since the launch of the most popular convertible in the UK. However, this wasn't the first MINI without a roof! Examples of custom convertible MINIs date back to 1963, built by Crayford Engineering in Westerham, England.

The new MINI Convertible comes with the new ‘MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant’. All the driver has to do is say ‘Hey MINI’ and speak away! Whether it's a question about a change of route or asking the assistant to change the temperature, this state-of-the-art technology makes it easy to control the features of the car without having to take your hands off the wheel.
Something most people might not know is that you can have a digital avatar, "Spike" accompany you on every journey you take! He appears on the new 240mm infotainment screen, delivering unexpected experiences and exciting encounters.
3. Let there be LED
The new MINI Convertible features advanced lighting technology that blends functionality with style. Its LED headlights provide brighter, clearer illumination while being more energy-efficient, ensuring enhanced visibility in a variety of conditions. Drivers can also personalise their vehicle’s appearance by selecting from three distinct light signatures. At the rear, the LED lights showcase a detailed and modern design, complemented by the choice of three different daytime running light patterns to suit individual preferences.
4. Invisible safety bar - Taking care of you
The MINI Cooper Convertible has a secret feature that you'll hopefully never need. In the event of a rollover, a hidden safety bar is instantly deployed protecting the driver and passengers. It's good to know about the extra measures to help protect you in an accident!
5. A flavour for all tastes
The New MINI Cooper Convertible comes in three distinct styles to choose from,; Classic, Exclusive and Sport. Each unique aesthetic offers its own flavour of design and technology letting you personalise to your liking, offering different design details for everything from the dashboard and seat upholstery to the headliner.

Whilst the New MINI Cooper Convertible oozes style and form, its function can't be ignored. Dropping the 50/50 split rear seats opens the interior to up to 665 litres of cargo space, giving you ample room to take all you need with you for your next adventure.

The new interior that adorns the inside of the new MINI Cooper Convertible allows you to pick an interior experience that suits your mood. Enjoy up to seven different worlds created by the orchestrated use of light, digital design, and drive settings. Each mode has new and unique soundscapes, paired with jingles and signals for information and warnings.
