Powered by an air/oil-cooled two-cylinder boxer engine producing 109 HP and a maximum of 115 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, the all-new R 12 G/S embraces the heritage of the legendary R 80 G/S from the 80s through its upgraded, striking design and improved, powerful execution.

Choose from three bold and adventurous exterior paint options that reflect the bike’s outgoing nature and enduro styling, including Light White, Sandrover matt, and Night Black matt, each with exclusive accents. It features LED light units, a classic round instrument panel, and axially mounted 2-piston floating callipers, all of which complement its appearance while enhancing practicality.

The R 12 G/S is the only BMW Motorrad Bike to feature an 18” rear wheel as an optional extra in the Enduro Package Pro, unlocking the ultimate off-road experience. Paired with 20mm handlebar risers, a large engine guard, and off-road tyres, you’re ready for every adventure. Make use of the Enduro Pro riding mode with this upgraded package to maximise its performance and capability.

Accessibility features include Keyless Ride, which conveniently locks and unlocks the bike depending on your vicinity to it using radio technology.

With a ground clearance of 24cm and fully adjustable suspension, the R 12 G/S is built to tackle larger obstacles with ease and confidence. The flat seat, positioned at a height of 86 cm, offers comfort whether seated, standing, or manoeuvring in technical terrain.

The R 12 G/S comes equipped with Dynamic Traction Control and engine drag torque control as standard, enhancing safety when accelerating off-road in variable conditions. ABS Pro ensures controlled braking even when leaning into corners. For added performance, the optional Shift Assistant Pro allows for clutchless gear changes across most load and speed ranges, reducing shift times and minimising power interruption. Additional rider aids such as Hill Start Control and electronic cruise control help make every journey smoother, and heated grips provide comfort during colder seasons or when exploring chillier climates abroad.

Riding Modes

Choose from three riding modes as standard, catering to every riding experience for each new journey. Using Rain, Road or Enduro will adjust your bike’s throttle response and traction control to perform optimally in the required conditions. For ambitious riders opting for the upgraded Enduro Package Pro, the exclusive Enduro Pro mode is unlocked, enabling ultimate control of the bike for experienced enduro riders.
