The 2025 Taycan GTS is a seamless blend of progressive design, Porsche performance, and practicality, but what are the key differences and is it worth the price?
The Porsche Taycan range has redefined electric performance, offering a mix of power, luxury, and cutting-edge technology. Sitting between the Taycan 4S and the more extreme Turbo models, the Taycan GTS aims to strike the perfect balance. But how does it differ from the rest of the line-up? Let’s take a closer look.
Performance and Driving Experience
The 2025 Taycan GTS is a force to be reckoned with, delivering an electrifying 690 horsepower (515 kW) when overboost and Launch Control are engaged. This sheer power catapults the Taycan GTS from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds, ensuring an adrenaline-fueled rush every time you press the accelerator pedal. With a top track speed of 155 mph, it strikes the perfect balance between Porsche’s signature performance and cutting-edge electric innovation, proving that sustainability and speed can go hand in hand.
The Taycan GTS shares the dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup found in other Taycan variants including Sport and Cross Turismo models, providing exceptional grip and agility, but benefits from a GTS-specific chassis tuning. The adaptive air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) have been tweaked for a sharper, more responsive drive, making the GTS one of the most engaging Taycan derivatives.
Design: A Sportier Edge
Porsche has given the Taycan GTS a distinctive look, setting it apart from the rest of the range. It features:
• Black exterior elements – mirrors, window trims, and the lower sections of the front and rear bumpers
• Unique GTS-specific front apron
• 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels as standard
• Matrix LED headlights with a tinted finish
Inside, the GTS treatment continues with Race-Tex upholstery, a material inspired by motorsport, and dark anodised aluminium accents. The standard panoramic sunroof with Variable Light Control allows you to adjust the transparency of the glass at the touch of a button.
Practicality and Range
Despite its track-ready performance, the Taycan GTS remains a practical choice for everyday use. It offers a practical 446-litre boot space (including the front trunk) and the option for a Sport Turismo body, providing additional versatility.
With an 83.6-kWh battery pack as standard and offering a Performance battery pack that's 97.0 kWh in capacity, the GTS delivers an official WLTP range of up to 390 miles - —similar to the Taycan 4S and Turbo models. Thanks to 800-volt fast-charging capability, it can recharge from 5% to 80% in just over 20 minutes with a high-power DC charger.
Is the Taycan GTS Worth It?
The Taycan GTS starts from £117,500 incl. VAT
If you want more power and sharper handling than the 4S without the price jump to a Turbo, the GTS is the sweet spot.
• It feels more engaging to drive than the 4S, thanks to its unique chassis tuning and suspension setup – so if you value a sporty drive, the GTS is the model for you.
• The styling upgrades and sporty interior make it feel special without sacrificing comfort.
For many, the Taycan GTS is the perfect blend of performance, style, and everyday usability, making it one of the best choices in the range. If you’re looking for a driver-focused electric Porsche that still offers practicality and refinement, the GTS is a compelling option.
