Business Contract Hire (BCH) is a popular long-term vehicle lease agreement designed specifically for business and corporate users. Unlike Personal Contract Hire (PCH) - which is only for personal use - BCH offers a range of benefits to help you get a brand-new BMW for your business needs.
One of the main benefits of Business Leasing is that VAT-registered companies can claim 100% of the VAT back - when used for business use only - or up to 50% VAT if the vehicle is used for both business, and private use. On contracts with maintenance, the VAT on the service element is 100% recoverable.
A typical business lease agreement lasts between two to four years (24 to 48 months) and provides businesses with a straightforward way to get a brand-new BMW. And as the finance provider stays the owner of the vehicle, it does not show on your balance sheet, which can help you manage your business finances more effectively.
At the end of your lease agreement, you simply return your BMW to the finance provider with nothing further to pay (provided the vehicle is in good condition, and within the contracted mileage limit). You can then choose to take out another BMW business lease agreement.
Salary sacrifice car schemes for your business are also available. These provide a multitude of benefits for all employees and not just those entitled to a company car.
The benefits of BMW Business Contact Hire:
Looking for a BMW i4 business lease or BMW 3 Series Touring lease? Dick Lovett BMW’s specialist Corporate team are here to help. Our experts in Bristol, Hungerford, Melksham, and Swindon are on hand to guide you through the process and find the best deal for your business.
Several factors will affect the cost of your contract hire rental, including the purchase price of the vehicle or OTR value, the duration of the contract, your initial rental, annual mileage, and the anticipated residual value of the vehicle. You may also choose to include additional contract options, such as maintenance and servicing.
These factors determine the expected value of your BMW at the end of the agreement. A monthly rental is then calculated to cover the depreciation between its value at the start and its projected resale value at the end. By taking all these into account, we can help you get the best possible deal on your BMW business lease.
To ensure a premium experience, Dick Lovett BMW offers a choice of local delivery options once your business leasing deal has been finalised. You can choose to collect your new BMW from one of our showrooms in Bristol, Hungerford, Melksham, or Swindon, or have it delivered.
If you choose to have your BMW delivered, your handover will be completed by a professional driver explaining everything you need to know about its main features, ensuring a thorough handover outside of the showroom.
When your new BMW arrives, it will have never been driven more than 99 miles, and it will be delivered with at least half a tank of fuel or 80% electric charge. Our dedicated Corporate team will also contact you within 48 hours of your handover to ensure everything is going smoothly and to answer any questions you may have.
Our commitment to exceptional service does not end there. With our Corporate Aftersales Promise, we guarantee the same unmatched level of service and specialist corporate support throughout your BMW lease agreement. In case your BMW requires repairs, our team will triage it within 24 hours, and all follow-up appointments will take place within 7 working days (or 3 days if a warning light is showing) to minimise any disruption.
When any service or repair is completed, your car will receive a complimentary wash and vacuum. You will also receive a complimentary BMW End of Warranty Check. Enquire with Dick Lovett BMW today.
If you’re in business or self-employed, your business is trading and is in profit, the chances are you will qualify for a car lease deal. Contract hire is open to:
You will need to provide proof of your identity and your address, bank statements and/or audited accounts and have a good credit rating.
Both Business Contract Hire and Business Car Leasing are the same thing and instead of buying a car you simply rent it from a finance company for an agreed period of time. At Dick Lovett we have a team of business leasing and contract hire specialists who can help you choose how long you want the contract for and decide your annual mileage allowance. These criteria then help to determine the amount you will pay each month.
The most obvious difference between buying and leasing is that when you buy a car you own it and when you lease a car, you don’t. You are renting the car from the finance company, so at the end of the contract all you have to do is hand the car back in good condition – just like you would a hire car.
As with any contractual arrangement, you must fulfil your obligations under the lease agreement. If you don’t there’s likely to be more to pay so you should be mindful of what you have committed to and how the car is used. Exceeding the agreed mileage, returning the car early or in poor condition could incur extra charges.
There are a few tax and VAT advantages when leasing a car through your business:
No. Unlike a rental agreement although you are not the car’s owner you do need to arrange your own insurance and ensure that you are covered for the appropriate type of use.
