New 4S variants double the number of all-wheel drive 911 models

For sheer handling prowess and maximum traction in poor weather, there is no substitute for having power delivered by all four wheels.

The debut of the new ‘4S’ completes the 911 line-up by adding a four-wheel drive Carrera Coupé, Carrera Cabriolet, and Targa to the stable to complement their more powerful ‘4 GTS’ equivalents. Now bringing the number of its all-wheel drive models up to six, the iconic 911 further stakes its claim to being the ultimate all-round sports car.

In a country famous for its changeable weather, opting for a 911 with a ‘4’ in its name ensures all-season performance, thanks to its all-wheel-drive capability. Four-wheel drive models inspire additional confidence behind the wheel, particularly in regions with unpredictable road conditions.

Key features:

Improved driving performance. The upgraded output of 480 PS is partly due to the optimised intercooler system, the design of which is carried over from the 911 Turbo, delivering a telling 30 PS more power than its predecessor.

Enhanced equipment. The standard specifications have been significantly upgraded compared to previous models, now including Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) and a sports exhaust system generating the distinctive 911 sound.

Additional individualisation options. You can now create a Porsche 911 that reflects your personal taste, both visually and technically.

60 years of Targa:

Finding the sweet spot between the thrill of open-top motoring and the year-round comfort of a coupé, the Porsche 911 Targa has offered the best of both worlds across the decades. Since first roaring into the dreams of countless motoring enthusiasts in September 1965, it is now celebrating its 60th anniversary.

Today, the Porsche 911 Targa is an icon in its own right, constantly being developed in terms of engineering and design over its distinguished history. Like so many Porsche innovations, the elegant, wide roll bar was inspired by motorsport and the wraparound rear window are a clear reminiscence of the original model. You can now specify the current Targa’s roof module in a choice of four colours: black, blue, red, and brown.

With the arrival of the 4S to the Porsche 911 stable, there is now a broad range of models to suit different driving styles. It starts with the Carrera and sportier Carrera T, both rear-wheel drive, while the more powerful Carrera S and 4S provide added performance with the latter providing the all-wheel drive alternative. The higher-performance models include the new Carrera GTS – the first hybrid supported 911 – blending a lighter body with cutting-edge technology and thrilling speed. Then, infused with track DNA, is the 911 GT3 (including GT3 Touring).
