On shorter trips and routes, the electric motor takes over, cruising along smoothly in near silence and producing zero tailpipe emissions.

Charging the electric battery in your used Jaguar hybrid or electric car is fast, and easy. The battery is recharged by plugging it into a power source — if you use a 7kW AC public charging point, the E-PACE can charge 0-100% in around two hours and 12 minutes, and the larger F-PACE in two hours 30 minutes. Switch that up to a Rapid DC charging unit, at 50kW, and both can go from 0-80% capacity in just 30 minutes.

With the all-electric Jaguar I-PACE, the battery is much larger, so AC charging from 0-100% takes between nine and 13 hours — ideal for overnight charging. With Rapid DC charging at 50kW, just 15 minutes of charge boosts range by around 63 miles.

There are thousands of public charging stations around the UK — typically located in supermarket and retail car parks, service stations, and other public spots. However, the battery is charged by regenerative braking, too. There’s also the convenient option of charging your electric Jaguar at home, if you have a home charging point installed.

Jaguar I-PACE

The I-PACE is Jaguar’s first all-electric SUV, and it’s a spectacular model. Performance from the electric battery is superb, capable of a maximum speed of 124mph and 0-60mph acceleration in just 4.5 seconds. The battery has huge capacity, so it delivers a driving range of up to 292 miles before it needs charging again. It’s available in a series of trims – R-Dynamic HSE Black, SE Black and S, and the 400 Sport.

Jaguar F-PACE PHEV

The F-PACE is Jaguar’s luxury SUV, a plug-in electric hybrid (PHEV) that combines traditional engine power with an electric battery to maximise driving efficiency. Top speed varies depending on which trim you choose, but ranges from 130-149mph. Like the I-PACE, it comes in the R-Dynamic HSE Black, SE Black and S, and the 400 Sport. In all-electric mode, the driving range of the F-PACE is up to 40 miles.

Jaguar E-PACE PHEV

The E-PACE is a more compact style of SUV compared to the F-PACE. It’s also a PHEV model — in EV mode the driving range is around 38 miles. Available in the R-Dynamic trim range, and a choice of different engines, the fastest E-PACE can hit 134 mph with a 0-60mph acceleration of around six seconds. Like other used Jaguar models, it’s fitted with driver assistance features like the All Surface Progress Control system.
