The next generation of Apple CarPlay has arrived and Aston Martin are the first manufacturer in the world to feature this new technology within their product portfolio. Apple CarPlay Ultra builds upon the capabilities of CarPlay to deliver the ultimate in- car experience. Discover real time information updates, that extend across both the infotainment touch screen and instrument cluster, offering a fully personalised and customisable platform.
Drivers are able to curate their own multi-screen set-up, and modify their layout whenever required. Aston Martin have worked closely with Apple to ensure a seamless design style, that fully reflects the brand’s unique design philosophy and remains instantly recognisable as an Aston Martin product.
Now extending to the instrument cluster, occupants can use on-screen touch controls, physical buttons or Siri to manage vehicle specific functions like the vehicle’s radio and climate control.
CarPlay Ultra is compatible with iPhone 12 and later, running on iOS 18.54 and later.
Apple CarPlay Ultra – which new Aston Martin models is it available on?
Apple CarPlay Ultra is available as standard on all (core) new Aston Martin models within the UK following its launch in May 2025. However, there is a timeline to this roll out, which see’s the DBX707, DBX S, Vanquish Coupe, and Vanquish Volante as the first models to adopt this intelligent new software.
- DBX 707 & DBX S – available from June 2025
- Vanquish Coupe / Volante - available from June 2025
- Vantage Coupe / Roadster – available from September 2025
- DB12 Coupe / Volante - available from December 2025
Can I have Apple CarPlay Ultra retrofitted to my current Aston Martin?
Yes, Apple CarPlay Ultra is available as a retrofit option on all core Aston Martin models with the latest generation of Infotainment System. This includes, the DBX (25 MY onwards), DB12, Vantage, and Vanquish.
The timeline for retrofit models is as follows:
- Vanquish Coupe / Volante – available from August 2025
- DBX707 – available from October 2025
- Vantage Coupe / Roadster – available from October 2025
- DB12 Coupe / Volante – available from December 2025
NB: Apple CarPlay is still available on models with the previous generation infotainment system.
Updates to software, are quick and seamless. For 25MY vehicles and beyond, they will only require software updates, 24MY vehicles will also require updates to hardware. All updates will need to be conducted through a recognised Aston Martin dealer, such as Aston Martin Bristol.
